Two people are reported killed after a passenger airliner went off the runway and crashed onto a highway while landing at Moscow's Vnukovo airport today.
About a dozen people were on board the Tupolev Tu-204 twin-engine plane when it made a hard landing and caught fire, shortly after 4:35 p.m. local time, Russia's emergency ministry said.
The Tu-204 has a capacity to carry 210 passengers.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Light snow was falling in Moscow at the time.
