Coun. Karen Stintz has called an 11 a.m. ET news conference for today amid a report that she's dropping out of Toronto's mayoral race.

The Ward 16 councillor has been polling in the single digits in recent weeks.
Stintz has also been conspicuously quiet over the past few days as other candidates have waged fierce debates over transit.
Stintz is former chair of the Toronto Transit Commision (TTC).
Other top runners in the mayoralty race include:
- Rob Ford, incumbent.
- Olivia Chow, former MP.
- John Tory, former Ontario Progressive Conservative leader.
- David Soknacki, former councillor.
Toronto voters will go to the polls on Oct. 27
