The body of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, killed in Wednesday's Ottawa shooting at the National War Memorial, will be transported along the Highway of Heroes from the nation's capital to his home of Hamilton today.

Ontario Provincial Police plan to release details of the journey, including the time the procession will depart and arrive, later Friday, said police spokesman Kerry Schmidt.

CBC Hamilton will share more information as soon as it's available.

A funeral for Cirillo is expected Tuesday. The funeral arrangements for Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent have not yet been finalized. Vincent was killed Monday when he was struck in a targeted hit and run in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que. The 53-year-old had served in the military for 28 years. Thursday afternoon, the RCMP confirmed there's no connection between Monday's attack in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Wednesday's shootings in Ottawa.

Share your condolences with the families of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent.
