Parts of the Maritimes are under — you guessed it — a snowfall warning Saturday, but there are also some rainfall warnings in effect.
In Halifax, Environment Canada has a rainfall warning in effect. The forecaster is calling for light snow this afternoon. That's expected to change to rain this evening. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected.
Most of the snowfall warnings are in the Colchester and Cumberland County areas, where 20 cm of snow is expected.
In P.E.I., Environment Canada has a snowfall warning in effect for Prince County. It is calling for 20 cmm of snow.
Kings and Queens counties should get 10 cm of snow, followed by 10 to 15 mm of rain.
In New Brunswick, snowfall warnings are in place for:
- Bathurst and Chaleur region
- Kent County
- Kouchibouguac National Park
- Miramichi area
- Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
These areas are expected to be hit by 15 to 20 cm of snow.
